This week’s song of the week is Dr Dre’s first single off of his third and final album, Detox. Akon and Snoop Dogg lend their talents to possibly the best Hip Hop song of 2010. Turn up the bass and let this beat rock the house.

Song of the Week by Matt Hodge

OK, here’s the song of the week. Aren’t you lucky XD? Well, this week, I’ve been listening to a lot of punk. To be more specific, I mean classic punk. To be even more specific than that, the horrorpunk godfather band is known as TSOL, which stands for their uncommonly used name, True Sounds of Liberty. EVEN more specific than the other specifics that I listed, the song is called Code Blue, the influential underground punk song that everyone seems to love. If you haven’t heard of this majestic(or unmajestic :D)theme song for all eighties punks, you need to. Like, immediately. ASAP hombre. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpZJLjrb4vU

Best Christmas song ever, just 3 days late. Jason, Kay, and the rest of the guys with Casper & the Cookies totally hit the right chords (dohoho) with this song. If you don’t know who they are, check them out on Myspace/Facebook/just google the name. They’re one of the best indie-pop groups out there.

Song of the day is now… Song of the week! Because we’re too lazy to do it every day, of course.

So this week’s song of the week is, of course, Planetary (Go!) by My Chemical Romance. Enjoy MCR’s first electronic track.
