Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Recently, a super group of punk rock madmen came together under the name of the black pacific. They play a hard edged melodic hardcore style that’s rivaled by that of Bad Religion, Pennywise (heck, they stole their vocalist), and Rise Against. The band consists of Jim Lindberg (Ex-Pennywise), Marc Orrell (Ex-Dropkick Murphys, Far From Finished), Gavin Caswell (Technician at SideOneDummy Records, more than likely the reason they were signed), and Alan Vega (not the famous vox man). They have 3 singles out, the system (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCgQA6BosbY), when it’s over (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8-ZKPMOKXo) and living with ghosts (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l805xbQxegs&feature=related). Seeing as though all of these and their debut album have been crazy solid so far, expect to see them being on top with both the punks and the scene kids in the near future.
